DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A GALE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE NEARSHORE WATERS OF SOUTHEAST
LAKE MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. ALSO THERE IS A HIGH
RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE LAKE MICHIGAN SHORELINE. THERE IS
A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A GALE WARNING IS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. THERE IS A
HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. A SMALL CRAFT
ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND SATURDAY
NIGHT. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY.

Branch County Skywarn consists of private citizens and members of emergency services, who with a trained eye, volunteer by making vital observations during periods of life threatening weather. These observations provide the National Weather Service and local emergency management with critical real-time information, to improve early warnings in order for the public to seek adequate shelter.
