New Year's Eve - January 2, 2008
Do you have photos from this event you'd like to contribute? Email to
brad@bronsonweather.org and put January 01, 2008 in the subject
line.
In a one-hour period on New Year's Eve, between 10pm and
11pm, Bronson received a blast of 2.50 inches of new snow.
This is a one hour radar loop of that event.
A word about snow measurements... "Snowfall" is the sum of all
observed measurements for the event - it is not the amount actually on
the ground at any given time. For the maximum amount on the ground at
a given time, please refer to the "Snow Depth" field.
Snow begins to settle immediately after falling. When and how the snow
is measured will greatly impact the final numbers for event. For this
reason, the National Weather Service instituted snowfall measurement
guidelines. To learn more about how snow is officially measured, click
here (.pdf) or here (html).
